We had Christmas at our house this year! It was great, our first official hosting of an event. Loved it! Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed each others fellowship.

Well, Baby Halli is one year old...I can't believe it. I can't even put into words how much I love this little girl. My cup overflows. Believe it or not, on the mornings she sleeps in (7:30 or so), I find myself saying "I wish Halli would wake up so we can play!" We celebrated with a cake, which she enjoyed. I found green icing 2 days later up her nose. I think she finally caught on to the present thing...she was totally in to the paper! And, I think her favorite present were the spoons from Aunt Erin. We never leave the house without a spoon these days.

She also had her first picture with Santa this year. She did really great. She didn't snuggle up to him, but she didn't scream bloody murder either. Hal was home for two weeks and it was FABULOUS. We had such a good time just laying around the house, staying in jammies and watching movies. We bought a new couch! Whoohoo! And just enjoyed spending time together, which was much overdo since the hunting season began.

I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas season! Love to all!!

So cute! Happy Birthday Halli! And VERY funny about the spoons. Believe it or not, Zachariah did the EXACT same thing. There is actually a spoon in his 1yr old pictures from Picture People because they went everywhere with us. Silly little plastic baby spooon. Go figure!

That's ok, I usually find icing in my nose about a week after cake :)

Our Life Story...

One of my favorite quotes is "You are the author of your own life story..." How true is that???? So, here is a brief glimpse into our life story. It's not always super exciting (actually-it is pretty exciting), but it's always blessed...

About Me

Really, it's not about me, it's about us...We've almost been married two years now!!!! I can't believe it. I think I can honestly say it's been the best two years of my life. Who knew marriage could be so wonderful? I sure didn't. I have the most wonderful husband on the entire planet. Although, I'm sure some of my friends would argue that their husband is the best...But you know, if you marry your God Given Soul Mate-I'll let you have that one. Yours is the most wonderful man for you!!! And to all my girlfriends who have married that man, I am SO happy for you because you know how great marriage can be. And if you haven't found him yet, don't give up. Just be patient...He is out there somewhere, just waiting for the perfect time to come into your life. I can't imagine that it's going to get any better...I suppose just "different" yet awesome, once our baby gets here. I am thankful each day for all God has given us...
