I love three day weekends...

We had a busy weekend. We went to Houston on Thursday and Friday...Had a birthday lunch in Driftwood on Saturday...Dad and sister in on Saturday through Sunday...Painting the deck on Monday...

Whoowee. It was jam packed, but fun. I feel bad because my sweet husband is still out painting the deck. It is just too hot for Halli to stay out there that long. But I can forsee my future...Can I finish painting it this week during my "free time"? It is going to look really nice though when we are done.

Be careful what you wish for. After a week of Halli being constipated she can now crap through a screen door. I have no idea why. The Dr told me to start her on oatmeal, I'm guessing that is what it is. Wow. It is poop galore around here. I have to hand it to Hal, he has changed most of them this weekend.

This was Halli's second time to spend the night in a hotel. She loves the bed for some reason. Or maybe it's because we are all jammed in the same room together and she can always see us. Lately, she has developed this charming characteristic of crying the moment she can't see you any longer. Well, that was cute at first but pretty much ended after the first few times I couldn't even pee with out her watching. But, she just wallows around on the bed in all the pillows...loving on her sock monkey.

SO I got to shoot this weekend. It was a blast, there was a definite learning curve that I'm not sure I even hit yet-but I still dominated. LOVED it! Loved delegating all mommy duties to Hal too!

My grandma threw a birthday party for the fam this weekend at Salt Lick. It was a one stop shop party...Her words were "if you have a birthday this year, this is your party." I said, "Gram, everyone has a birthday this year." Gram- "I know." So...you better not miss it! Super cute. We had some good grub as always at the Lick and it was fab to see everyone again. Thanks Grandma! We loved it! BTW, Hal ate the rest of the cake! (Surprise)

We made Halli wait to eat until we got to Salt Lick. She has her "eye on the prize" for sure.

My dad and my little sister came to visit for a few days as well. As you can see, Halli sure enjoys her carrots! She LOVES seeing her grandpa!

Claire was my model this weekend. We had fun hanging outside with Halli (who didn't want to participate in the photo shoot). Claire knew how to work it though! Go Girl!

Our Life Story...

One of my favorite quotes is "You are the author of your own life story..." How true is that???? So, here is a brief glimpse into our life story. It's not always super exciting (actually-it is pretty exciting), but it's always blessed...

About Me

Really, it's not about me, it's about us...We've almost been married two years now!!!! I can't believe it. I think I can honestly say it's been the best two years of my life. Who knew marriage could be so wonderful? I sure didn't. I have the most wonderful husband on the entire planet. Although, I'm sure some of my friends would argue that their husband is the best...But you know, if you marry your God Given Soul Mate-I'll let you have that one. Yours is the most wonderful man for you!!! And to all my girlfriends who have married that man, I am SO happy for you because you know how great marriage can be. And if you haven't found him yet, don't give up. Just be patient...He is out there somewhere, just waiting for the perfect time to come into your life. I can't imagine that it's going to get any better...I suppose just "different" yet awesome, once our baby gets here. I am thankful each day for all God has given us...
